HOW TO SCORE GOALS IN THE QHL
1- player in the NHL scored a goal
2-player got 2 assist in the same game.
3- Goalie register a win
4- TTA Any team has 3 assist in 1 game =1 Goal... (not included are 2 assist by the same player)
teams has 6 assists in 1 game =2 Goals
teams has 9 assists in 1 game =3 Goals
teams has 8 assist and 1 shoot out goal = 3 Goals
etc etc .
shoot out goal is now consider a TTA
6- Night after Night we get back to zero-zero games and play another game against another QHL team
to break up tie
To Get less tie We will have a Tie Breaker for equal score
1- most assist and Shoot Out goal is the only tie breaker to declare winner if it is still tie both team gets 1 point on the standing
NOTE: If a goalie in the NHL registered a shut-out; I'll credit him with a
shut-out and all opponent goals
against you that night will be whiplash.(Both goalie stats from every teams every night are calculate)
CALENDAR AND STANDING
CALENDAR
Every teams plays 5 times against the other 13 QHL teams for a 65 games season .
STANDINGS we use general standing like in the NHL in the 70's
best 8 teams make the Playoff and #1 play vs #8, #2 vs #7; #3 vs #6; #4 vs #5 (started in 2019-2020)
ROSTER
1. The numbers of players for each Rosters is set at 32 players
Goalies: 2 goalies is required for each line up and both goalie stats are calculate each day.
Defensemen: The minimum is 6 defensemen for every teams.
Forward: Maximum for every team is 24 forwards
MINOR LEAGUE TEAMS
Prospect not considering QHL regular are player with a rookie status (25 NHL Games Career Played)
after each QHL season I'LL Move up all players with more than 25 Regular season NHL Games played Career Call UP
INJURY
Teams CAN have 1 Goalie non rookie on their farm team if 1 of the goalie is injured or if a team make a roster change he can call up 3rd Goalie anytime
Long time injury Players (LTIR) can be put on Farm team when the player status by the NHL mention out for the season
when that happen you can sign a player or call up 1 of your rookie to your main roster
WAIVERS
1. Waiver: every teams having more than 32 players on it's rosters will have to expose player in a mini waiver draft at the begining of each season.
during the season: roster has been set to 32 players exceding this Total a team must put a player on waiver or send 1 player with less than 25 NHL Games Played career to his farm team.
-- if more than one team put a claim on a Player, lowest team on the standings (Less Points) when the waiver period end has the priority of claiming
(every player will be expose for a 72 hours)and QHL teams can claim ONLY 1 player a day
if a player is not claim by any QHL team that player Become free agent
all player on poolexpert.com are available for free agency if they had play 1 NHL game during the current season we currently play
and you can replace all player during the summer with no NHL contract (starting Generally (august 1st)
QHL Free Agency format
FREE AGENCY (From 14th QHL Games to Last NHL Season Game)
GM can make only 1 action a day (from end of games to start of games the day after)
If 2 teams Bid the same money on the same player worst team on standing wins the Bid (Tie Breaker)
Every teams receive $100 of virtual money at beginning of every NHL season in October
gm can spend dollars on any free agent (minimum wage per player is $5) (silent auction).
The winner of the auction lose the virtual money they spent on a free agent.
(Example: i put 100$ on Pietrangelo on October 10 and i win the auction... i won't have any money for all the remaining NHL calendar)
You always have to respect the 32 players roster and the salary cap (less than 25 Carreer NHL games Free agent signed can be put into your reserve) .
You can't trade money not used for free agency in any circonstances and If you sign a free agent you can't trade that players until the next QHL season.
all player not claim on waiver becomes free agent immediately
Free agency during summer time is for replacing retired Player,UFA and RFA (1 month after NHL free agency start and still 1 signature a day)
LTIR : if you have a player considered by NHL teams out for the season (i'll put him in your reserve player)
Note: Must be on your starting 32 line up in october before been on LTIR
Free Agency closed same time as Trade limit of every season (twice a NHL season)
Death: if a player decease during the season or the off season i will give the GM who own the right of this player a free agent pick or junior draft choice depending the last status of that player
TRADES
-The trade deadline is set when the schedule has 10 games or less to play in a season (depending my situation i will decide when the deadline will be)
- Every gm involve in a trade must e-mail or confirm any trade threw facebook messenger
- teams cannot remake a previous trade they made with the same GM for any reasons;
- we have a trade comite of 4 peoples who examine all trades..and if the majority reject a trade,that trade is cancel or have to be re-work to make it more fair..( No Argument will be accept if the comite refuse a trade)
starting in 2019-2020 all trade will be re examin due to the New Salary cap in place
PLAYOFFS
The playoff format is best 8 of the season makes the playoff
Best team always face worst rank teams ..round after round
Analysing the NHL calendar Days before every Year i will try to make 3 best of 7 series if i cant for any reason i will make 2 best of 5 series and the Final will always be a best of 7 series
No More 1 Night game in playoff all the night with only 1 game will be add to the next days

12 assist playing 5 on 5
13- Assist on Power play goals
14- assist on a Empty net Goals
15- Shoot Out Goals
16- Less players involve in NHL action between both teams.
17- plus/minus for every players of both roster
18- Shots on Goal
19-the goalie save percentage. (only if both teams have at least 1 goalie playing)
20- winning goal
21 - Latest winning goal
22- Latest Goal
23- Decisive assist on a Goal
24- If we can't have any winner after 23 tie Breaker i will move on and play a game the next day.
* Exception is if 2 goalie facing each other and they both get a shutout. i start with Goals and TTA like regular season games
ENTRY DRAFT
The draft selection for first pick overall to 5th overall will be determine by a draw between worst 5 teams (Both QHL Season combine)
the percentage of the 5 weaker teams for Both QHL Season is as follow
2025 1st ROUND DRAFT WILL BE DRAW AS FOLLOW:
first teams to have 2 balls draw win the Lottery
QHL worst team = balls 1 to 31
2nd worst team = Balls 32 to 50
3rd worst teams = Balls 51 to 63
4th worst team = Balls 64 to 70
5th worst team = Balls 71 to 75
other 8 teams draft rank is determine by lowest to best point of both season
ENTRY DRAFT players available
players available are : ONLY player draft in the same junior draft we are doing
you have to wait before the season start to trade futur Entry Draft pick
exemple when 2020-2021 season start you can trade your 2021 picks ,and you can't trade 2022 picks until the next season starts
QHL salary Cap
the salary cap is set for a minimum of 130 millions and will always depend what the NHL will do with their own salary cap
the salary cap kicks in when the QHL season starts
if a team does not cooperate and still have salary cap or floor issue at First trade deadline free Agency that team will lose his 2nd round Pick .
if at all star break the same team is again out of law; that team will lose his first round draft pick (if a teams traded their pick) the penalty go beyond the year after
if a team after a transaction is over (less than a million) over the cap; i will give that gm time to fix his situation
